Day 3 – Disneylands, Hong Kong

… here we come!!!!

I woke up earlier around 630am this day to get ready for check-out before we proceed to our next destination – the long awaited place for the kids… Around 700am, both the kids woke up and kept asking, when we are going to disneyland.. after some last minute packing and getting the kids ready, we all set to Disneyland Hollywood hotel for check-in.

Once we reached there and settled in, the clock shown only @930am, I told hubby that, maybe we should let the kids have their milk first before we took the shuttle to Disneyland park which will only open around 1030am. Also the shuttle is very convenient as it’s came to the hotel every 10minutes interval so no rushing at our side at all..

Around 1015am, we are all set to the park. When we reached there it was like ” people mountain people sea” as it is a weekend, we walked around the main area which we saw kiosk selling cap /hat and umbrella. Zoey got excited and start to asked us to buy her a minnie hat which cost like HKD200 while Chloe want to have a “pooh pooh” hat. We get both of them each since we already decided that today is their day and they get want they want… then proceed to check into the park since upfront i already brought the ticket when i checked in to the hotel that morning. We went straight to the stroller rental store and get one for chloe for HKD60 per day.

Since my sister advice us to goes straight into the cinderalla carousel first which is situated inside the park to avoid the crowd. true enough, when we reached the cinderalla carousel the queue was not long and we get into the carousel almost immediately. After that, we walked awhile and the kids asked for lunch, we get them some snack like hotdogs and the soy chicken drumstick from the park… the price are a lil bit on the high side. While hubby queuing to buy the snack, we saw Donald Duck greeting people and all people was like running towards them and for us, we are lucky that Donald is moving the small corridor which is very near to where we waiting and Zoey started to get excited and keep on calling Donald. We quickly walk towards Donald and managed to captured a photo with the character. After the kids have their meal, we walked around the park and we captured some photo with the “gorrilla” – not sure what is this character called, the pirates,  the stitch from Lilo and Stitch, Snow White and Princess . We also managed to watch the high school musical and the disney parate with all the character in it.

Lastly, we asked around where is Mickey and Minnie since the kids want to have a picture with them. after some indication from them, we walked toward the area and the area was jammed pack with people queuing to take photo with mickey and minnie. Hubby queue for almost an hour before our turn and the kids played with mickey and minnie awhile before we took our photo with them, later we proceed to Goofy and Pluto area. We also managed to take photo with them.

Since before our trip, we already decided to have a meal with the character for the kids to enjoyed and have a meet up session with their favourite character. We spent around HKD1000 just for a meal with the character @ enchanted garden in the Disneyland resort. We took the later session since we want to watch the firework which was scheduled at 730pm @ Disneyland park.

We have a great time @ the Restaurant as Mickey, Minnie, Trigger, and Piglet are there to greet the kids and they walked around the table to spent sometime with the kids. Zoey was excited and was playing, dancing and joking with them while Chloe was busying herself with the ipod that i brought for her to play with. Mickey, Minnie and Piglet trying to played with her but no respond from her… Towards the end of the session, Chloe start to warm up and played with the Characters..

That is the end of our wonderful trip to Disneyland. As I told hubby, although we spent quite alot for this trip, it is all worth it to see the kids enjoying themselves and us, although we are so tired taking care of them ( the maid was left with my mom) , we had spent quality time them with them which is so precious for both of us….

Day 2 – The Peak and Avenue of Star…

We started the day earlier as we want to let the kids to sleep earlier for Disneyland next day. We have porridge, mee hoon, toast and macoroni with ham @ a restaurant nearby. These food cost us around HK42 and it actually came in small portion. We took the MRT from the prince edward station to Central before we walked like 5 minutes to the lower tram station. We brought a photo taken at the lower tram station which actually came in 5r Photo with 2 key chains for HKD 128. I know this is quite expensive but looking @ the well taken photo and the experience, we decided to buy the photo. Then we took the tram up to the Peak. Luck was not with us today, the weather was quite cold, a lil bit rainy and was misty and we can’t view at all the Hong Kong scenary and mostly we spent our day @ the Pacific (something like starbuck ) in the mall. We brought our survenior for our family members in a shop situated in the mall. As the salesgirl entertaining the girls, both myself and hubby enjoying ourself with shopping. we spent around HKD 900 in the mall around. Later, we took a bus ride from the peak to central mtr before continuing our journey to prince edward mtr.

With hubby’s knowing chinese both in writing and speaking, we somehow found ourway quite easily. frankly speaking, although this is my 2nd trip to hong kong after the 1st trip in 2006 to work, this trip i enjoyed much more mainly because i have my family with me and also i explored for this trip..

After some rest and bath, we took a bus to the Avenue of Stars as recommended by the hotel staff. As the weather is a bit windy and cool, we just walked along the avenue of star before proceed to Nathan road with intention to do shopping along the park lane. However, due to tiredness we actually decided to head back home since everyone was so tired via the Jordan Mtr station. When we reached hotel, hubby told me that he would like to revisit the ladies market and all the other market that we went to the previous night without the girls. i was okay with the arrangement since i’m too dead tired and i need to do some packing as we are checking out the next day to our last stop in Hong Kong – DISNEYLAND.

Day 1 – HK trip 9/4/2010

We took the earliest fly out to Hk on friday @700am. We arrived @ LCCT around 5am. The flight depart @710am and we arrived @ HK international airport around 1115am. After the custom check-out, we went to the counter where i actually do a pre-booked air transport. Once you prebook you actually would think it is settled however, we were been informed that the kids was not charged and they want us to paid HK150 per child which is what we actually paid for adults. We was quite frustrated and we required our airport transfer from Disneyland hoter to airport to be carried forward since the tour agent told us that it is more cheaper to take a taxi from disneyland since it is 15 minutes away from the airport…we are okay with arrangement.

We check in to metropark Mongkok hotel around 130pm and we had our room upgraded to superior room for free. Since the room was not ready, we had our lunch @ nearby restaurant. Later around 430pm, after the kids had their nap, we went our to the tourist area around mongkok. We went to Ladies market, goldfish market and sport street which was walking distance from our hotel.. the kids have been requesting for Mcdonald for dinner so we just went for it…

Then the kids get cracky and kept saying tired, we went back to our hotel around 700pm and the kids slept around 730pm…

Earth Hour… 27th March 2010

With the recent good news that I received, I treated my family to Tenji Japanese Buffet restaurant @ solaris mont kiara for dinner. We have a good time there. The theme of this restaurant are more or less mirror to Jogoya@ starhill which also one of my favourite restaurant when it came to buffet. The food spread is good  where they offered western to local, raw to cooked, from steam to grill to barbecue and much more. Their dessert spread are good too but me being Not-so into the dessert food dont really mind much…

Con-incident that on the same day, the restaurant also celebrating the “earth hour” – in fact, they switch off their light at 830pm onwards for 30 minutes and all the surrounding are lightened up with candle light. the surrounding looks so “romantic” for awhile …
