Normally, we reserve our sunday for my MIL where we will goes back to hubby’s hometown to visit her @ my BIL house… however, since the girls are not well as they are having flu and cough, we stayed back and the girls spent their day with playing their “masak-masak” and play dough.. after feeling bored, they took out their book and was writing and drawing…

I presenting to you … Chloe’s drawing which she claimed she was drawing “turtle” when I asked her what is that?… For me, at age of 2 years and 8 months old, she really into pensil and book and she have her share too when I coaching her jie jie…

Zoey as normally, writing is something that she enjoyed so much.. her writing improved so much since early this year.

I’m still remembered how we need to sew her mitten and booties as most of the booties and mitten in the supermarket are too big for her. same goes to her clothing – when she got the green light to goes home after a month in the hospital, she was wearing only shirt – Size newborn and was the smallest among the size in the market, – as the shirt are long enough to cover her body form head to toe… The above photo was taken when she was about 2 month old. My Mom against the idea of taking Zoey photo when she was in the incubator and I didn’t have any of those moment at all…

and now, she is our lil princess in our life… she grown so much and all the sacrifices that we have made for our girls are so worth it… No other thing that are much more important in my life other than my 2 lil princess in my heart…

Later when they went to their grandma house, they started to tell their grandma that  mommy will be going away to Singapore for 3 days and going to do shopping alone without them.. When my mom told me that, I  was like, what am i going to do as i need to be away for 3 days? … Then towards the day, I re-start to pyscho them again and this time i make a promise, that I will buy each of them a present when I’m in Singapore and they got to choose their present… when they actually heard that, they got excited and they started to said what they want and I need to be firm with them that they will only get one present and they need to tell me what they want. after going through so many choices, they actually settled with “princess bag”….

That how I actually managed to get away for 3 days 2 night… back to my trip, we touched down around 740pm @ changi airport and we immediately check-in to M Hotel @ Anson trip before we rushed to Takashimaya@ Orchard to get what my girls want.. I managed to get them a strawberry cake bag each and it cost around $52.50 for 2 bags… that time was like 9ishpm and we stroll down the Orchard road and look for Island restaurant situated inside Tangs for dinner. Luck was not with us as by the time we reach there, the restaurant was actually closed. Later, we took MRT from Orchard to Tanjung Pagar station and since the time was late, we have no choice but to settled with Mcdonald as our dinner.. the next 2 days was hectic with the workshop and we took the 620pm flight back to KL on the 3rd days…

On the last weekend of CNY 2010, we have our dinner with hubby’s side @ seremban. We have our first taste of treasure pot or “Pun Choy” in cantonese…

The first taste is not bad but almost the end, the taste to us is almost the same as the last layer of the pot are more toward the mixture taste of all the food on top… not bad for the first experience like us for the meal… as for the kids, they have a great time playing with their cousins while we adult enjoying our meals…

Me, being a chinese not knowing anything abt chinese as since young, my parents put me to national school and in our house, the language that we speak, is cantonese, hakka and english. Since young, both Zoey  and Chloe is english speaking in our household. 

the date of registration for children to primary one will open soon – We need to make our decision. and we do have disagreement on the decision and being a mom, i will tried to provide my kids the best… I have list down the following point which i need to take into consideration:

• Homework – Chinese school : I will not be able to coach Zoey with her homework and she need to do all by herself. it will be very difficult for me to guide her since myself does not even know mandarin, how am i be able to coach her? I knew that there is option whereby i can send her to centre and paid for someone to coach her but i really does not want my kids to spend hours to just finish of her homework before rushing of to her tuition class. Do I want my kids to have this kind of life? my answer is NO. National School – little bit of homework. The reason why i want to choose this is because i knew that i’m able to coach her with her homework and she will not be burden with mountain of homework.
• Language – Chinese language will be the main language if you opt for chinese school. Malay and English will become secondary. but when you reach the secondary  school, Malay and English is the main language and compulsory subject. It is quite difficult if your language foundation is not good and the kids may be struggling if her foundation is not good. and I know her grade may be affected if her language is not good. Therefore, language is the most important that i think i should take into consideration when i need to decide for Zoey.
• Future – it is always my dream to send my kids to oversea to study. I always hope that if financially permitted, I would like to send Zoey to oversea to study be it for her high school or college.  If Zoey unable to pick up her language if i send her to chinese school then I would regret my whole life.

 I’m still need to think and yet to make any decision. I will need to take leave next week after my Singapore trip  to do the registration for her.. .till then, I think I need to sit down and think again on what is the best education for my kids….

On the 7th day of CNY which also known as the “yan yat” which Chinese believe it is everybody birthday on this special day.., my parents treat their Son in laws for a dinner at a nearby restaurant. This is the normal occasion for my parent on each CNY….

On the first day of CNY, we have a lion troupe visited my BIL house and performed the lion dance  at his house. The kids are so excited when they heard that the Lion troupe will be coming and for Zoey, especially she was so happy and waited for it.She is not scared at all when the lion came near her and in face, she touched the lion when the lion performing their stunt of peeling mandarin oranges and pamelo. As for Chloe, she is so scared and only touched the tail…

Co-incidence, this year CNY fall on Valentine day which is also one of my niece 6th birthday which my BIL arrange the birthday party @ A&W restaurant….

While Jie Jie playing happily with the A&W moskot, Mei Mei was so scared of the moskot, she cried when the moskot came near her and Daddy need to bring her out of the restaurant and she peeked from outside…

2nd day of CNY

We continue our CNY celebration with visiting hubby’s relative and welcoming guest to visit my MIL on the 2nd of CNY. on this year CNY, we seems to have 2 occasions which fall on the CNY ie on the first day and 2nd day of CNY. We have another birthday celebration organised for my nephew birthday @ Pizza hut, Seremban Parade :

Today and tomorrow, will be the last weekend before we celebrate the Lunar New Year and as normal every year, we will be celebrating the CNY @ Seremban, hubby’s hometown. Since the girls big enough to understand what is all CNY is all about, we start to prepare for the kids earlier and for both myself and hubby, it was like last minute thing.

for the past 2 weeks, both myself and hubby are so busy with our work. especially hubby, he spending more and more time in the office due to some project going on while for me it is like no ending work for me. I’m been going back to office on sat and public holiday just to clear some outstanding and this week, we however, managed to put down all our work behind and spent our time with our kids..

We took them to Sg Wang and BB plaza to do our last minute shopping – buying some clothing for myself anf hubby and also to replenished my facial items which have been delayed for so long. We spend hours there and the girls as normal, excited and just walk and walk. No sure how they can stand so many hours of walking but they managed to do so without being cracky. maybe she get it from their mommy.??

It was way long long time I didn’t update my girls development and progress… slacking behind due to work commitment, addicted to the PsP and also spending more time on facebook…

Since Zoey started school past 3 weeks, she didn’t show at all the reluctancy of going to school. She do complained sometimes that her friend push her or beat her, but not even once she said she don’t want to go school. She loves book so much, she read using the i-pen that i brought for her and loves it so much. she spending more on books and paper where she draw, she scribbles and sometimes she wrote on a piece of paper and claimed that it is her journal just like mommy do on her computer - i think she meant about my blogging habit. However, though she improves much in study, i do feel that she was exposed to an environment whereby she have a lot of homework todo. Not sure whether this is good for her but i do noticed that she can now recognised some words in her book – not sure whether she memorized it or really she know how do read the word.

As for Chloe, taking care of this girl really a challenge for both myself and hubby in fact also for my parents. at the age of 2.5years old, she was well aware that her grandparents are the person that she can bully and yet in front of her parent, she are more behave. Frankly speaking, between the girl, both of them have different character – one is more gentle, the other are well more naughtier.. Sometimes, Chloe does gave us a hard time whereby her energy level are always high and she loves to jump be it while watching tv, walking, or sometimes just for the fun of it. There are time where she cried after a fall, the next minute you actually seeing her doing the same stunt again.

She can really talk – I meant non-stop. There are time I got an headche just because both of them are talking simultanuous to you and their voice are so high until you actually feel the pain started buiding up in your head. Sometimes, I just loves to talk to her – the mother-daughter talk when Zoey asleep. We will have our one to one session and we talk variety of topics – what she does at home while mommy working , is she naughty and so on. Sometimes, she just love to said this ” Mommy, loves you” when we have hug-hug sesssion. She can really relates back her days to you when you asked her. She tell you from A to Z what had happened that day. In fact – she can tell me that she had beat her sister , when i asked her why , she said don’t know. I always encourage the girl to tell me the truth if they are doing wrong and I never threatened to beat them if they’re wrong. I told them that what they have done wrong and  should not do and i can see that whenever they does something not right, when I asked them, they tell me the truth. be it not at their advantage and so on. I just want to let them know, that even when they do something wrong, they need to tell me the truth and just admit their fault. S

Both the girls still having their love-and-hate relationship. They can play. they share their toy but they can turn to hate within minutes  or second. It was like, a minute they are playing together happily, then the next minutes, they are pulling each other to the end, sometimes snatching their toys. Till to-date, only hubby able to ensure that they are playing together for a start to end without pushing each other to the max. Not sure how hubby do it, but he can make them still together and played together.

Despite all this, Zoey loves her sister very much. She took care of her, ensure that her sister does not goes near the lift alone or pull her sister ’s shirt if the lift stop before our floor, ensure her sister goes into our car first and so on… there are many incident whereby, Zoey have shown us that she care and loves her sister very much. For Chloe, she loves her sister very much but She just loves to disturb her sister….

I have put on hold this project for a long time.. Now I think it is time for me to re-start the process before the 5th and 3rd birthday of my girls in June and July this year….Update will be weekly as this is the motivation to see my piece growing …
