Disneyland Hong Kong… See you next April’10

“Mommy, I want to go Hong Kong. See Mickey and Minnie…”

This is what Zoey told me since early of this year especially when she saw the photo taken my twin sister during their trip to Hong Kong last year.

Initially, I would like to try the kids first to Langkawi which was schedule next month before we decide to take them to Hong Kong.  We have booked our ticket to Langkawi next month since last Nov when airasia have their 0 fares promotion. at that time, I was quite reluctant to book for Hong Kong as the kids are still small and I may not know whether they would remember the trip.

Yesterday, again airasia offerred a million seat with 0 fares to international trip and me without any hesistation I booked four ticket to Hong Kong next april with 0 fares which at last cost me about RM1K for 4 of us. Why next year? Not only because it is 0 fares but Chloe are a lil bigger next year and it is more easy for me to handle both of them. Initially planning are to put 2 nights stay in Disneyland HongKong to let the kids enjoy their trip to Disneyland.

I’m happy now since I can realised my kids dream to Hong Kong next year….

Happy Mother’s Day

Zoey : ” Mommy, Happy mother’s day”

Chloe : ” AhMie, (happy) ah-mie day”

This is the sentence that both my kids said to me. I’m happy and the feeling that I cannot explain here.

Seeing both my kids growing up healthily and and happily, nothing much that a mom would request. They are both a lil girl now no longer a baby but still in my heart, both of them still my baby no matter how old they are.

Being a mom myself, I knew it is not easy to bring up a child and to provide them with caring, love and to ensure that they successful in their life. I knew my mom herself put in alot of effort to bring us up and to provide us with good education. and Finally she successful to bring us up as a graduate and all of us have a good career in front of us. Now she took over my role to assist me to bring up my kids. Not every mother agreed to take care of their grandchild and some even said ” I already bring you all up, and I dont want to tie myself down. It is my time to enjoyed my retirement age” – this is what I heard from my friend when she was looking for a nanny to take care of her newborn baby girl.

It is not selfishness that I want to point out as her mother does have the right to take care or not of her grandchild. As what the mother said, ” I want to enjoyed my retirement age”, my mom can also do that to me and yet, she took care for me for my girls with the full attention eventhough I have a maid to help out. From bathing to playing and to taking meal, she took care for me. She loves her grandchild so much…

My mom are a sucessful careerwoman before she decided to quit work to take care of her 5 angels. since then, she is the one to take care of us, sent us to school and back, and wash our cloth and so on. Frankly speaking, until I’m married, before this, all the housework and cooking was done my mom and us being the child, are required to study and it was make it clear to us by my parent education is the most important part in our life.

Mother’s love can never be replaced and she is the one who endures all the pain to bring us to this world – pain that we cannot understand until you are mother yourself – the sleepless night that her endures when the child are young and they are sick, is not an easy task unless you feel it yourself…

To all Mother in this world – HAPPY MOTHER”S DAY

Cooking?

a BIG NO when I still have no children and married to hubby. In fact hubby knew that I won’t cook as I make it clear before we got married that I’m not interested in cooking.

A BIG change happened when I was in my confinement period after I gave birth to Chloe. As lock up for a month and although I was working throughout my confinement period at home, I was so boring and nothing much to do, I took the intiative to cook simple meal from my confinement lady, She is a good cook and her food seem to “ngam” hubby tastebud. During this period, the confinement lady cooked for hubby since she was cooking for herself. I saw how hubby ate all the food. Later, when I asked him, he said he like the food.

During that period, I spent most my time with the confinement lady, We talked, we see TV and we ate together, she told me about her past and how she need to deal to bring her kids up alone. She also told me that in order to tie your hubby heart, tie from the tummy ( not sure it is how this was translate). I learnt to cook from her.

From a simple meal, I improvised it to a more complex meal. Now, I can cook for the whole family from different recipe every week.

the smile from hubby after each meal are something that I looked for and everytime, the rice and the food are cleaned from the plate is so satisfying for me. It is all worth it although cooking is something that I never thought I will do in my life….
