Beijing Trip ( 28th Nov – 1st Dec 06 ) and Zoey’s 17th Months update

I went to Beijing for Asia Finance Conference on 28th Nov till 1st Dec 2006. It was winter over there. the weather was like -2 to 5 degree throughout my stay there. When I came back, I have some itchiness due to the dry skin that I’ve experienced. The condition now have subsided.

We have a half day outing on Thursday ( 30/11/2006 )which we went to a place where they refer to as ” Old Beijing ” the original state of Beijing. The building there was so old and surprisingly although the house are more that 100 yrs old, the structure was so good.We even went to a local families house to view how the whole house look like. I would said very old…

After that, we went to place where we need to climb 79 staircase and it was very steep. I’m actually no problem to climb but having a lot of problem to get down from the up stairs, I really feel so scared as am scared of height. We have dinner straight after that, We have imperial food such as camel hum and many local delicacies.

Very good experience as I have not had any experienced in Winter weather… Have to leave Zoey with Grandma…

Managed to brought Zoey one boots, one pair of Sport shoes, Cheongsam for her Chinese New Year and Panda Bear wearing Chinese red shirt ( same colour like her Cheong Sam. )

17th Month Progress

I know it was a bit late for me to update Zoey’s 17th Month progress..

She able to walk very steadily now.. Refuse to be sitted on her stroller when we out. Refuse also for us to hold her hand.Very curious with her surrounding. Very fast with her mobility. sometimes very difficult to watch her. It was like a minute you sees her the next minute she is somewhere else.

She still refuse to take her porridge which frankly speaking I have giving up to try to gave her. Her meal schedule is as follows:

500am – 6oz milk
700am – cereal
1000am – 6 oz milk
1230pm – 6 oz milk
330pm – cereal
630pm – 4oz milk
800pm – 6oz milk
1100pm – 6oz milk

She will take whatever we take. Not really fussy with her food except when we give her porridge. she will join us for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. She loves to eat Fish ball, Steamed fish , French fries etc…She will ask to feed herself which we allowed her but sometimes if we know that it will become very dirty we will not allowed her to do so.

She speak more in her baby language but on and off we are able to hear she said a few words like :

1. don-wan( dont want )
2. nen-nen ( Milk)

She have 3 teeths at the lower gum and 4 teeth above now. I think one is still too shy to come out on the upper gum.
